This was a late afternoon run on the Green. We arrived at 5:15, got ready and then Catherine showed up.. so we finally got on the river around 5:50. We got off around 8pm after a bit of play at Paradise Ledge, so it was a long run. However, the daylight saving really saved our asses here, otherwise we would have been paddling out in the dark.
The river was pretty low and slow, but was still pretty fun. There were a lot more small play features than I recall from previous trips, so that was good. A lot of the holes become too shallow at this level to throw ends in, but are still fun for surf or flat spins.
The rapids were all pretty much the same as previous reports detail. There was still wood down above Pipeline but it was easily avoidable. The Paradise Ledge was in good form although a bit shallow. One paddler commented that he thought he had broken his foot from hitting bottom here so many times. The things we will do for a good ride.
